Garage Sale Deals

So my wife Terri and her friend came home and told me about a garage sale where they had seen a bunch of fishing rods and equipment and they couldn't think of anyone who could use fishing stuff and I was incredulous. "I was like what the hell? Where is this sale at?" I hastily found and went there and came up a great deal with a fenwick rod, a ultra lite bass pro shop pros rod, a bass pro shop bait caster rod. Two nice heavy duty travel rod cases. 24 or so quick fish/flat fish for salmon trolling. 4 bags of plastic worms. Two like new boat rod holders and some antique vintage flatfish and rooster tail lures from the 1970's I bought the entire lot for $60.00. It pays to go to garage sales if you know what your looking for. Most of the lures where in a tangled mess of fish chains and flatfish ,that as I untangled was like uncovering buried treasure.

San Pablo Dam Reservoir 7-25-15

San Pablo Damn!!Reservoir

Had too much fun being guide service for the family crew. fishing was a challenge navigating the premium pontton boat rental in the wind and currents that moved out you of the honey holes before you could even get your line in the water. We caught 1 crappie and a spotted bass. The trout fishing was nil. reports had shown that the trout bite had slowed down alot becasue of the warmer water.
Up at the Snack/baitshop they had pictures of all kinds of huge fish caught just a couple months ago. But can you say Photoshopped?? (JK if you are a representative from the place :)  )

One thing is the truth. the Horton's always eat well. Senior Carlitos did up some fantastic chicken wraps. A genius of an idea if I say so myself. Home made rotisserie chicken. Who knew that he even had a rotisserie? Kudos to the chef.

Kudo's to big Boobins, for renting us the hatitachi 9000 of recreational boats. So great to have a benefactor that loves to fish as much as us daddy warbucks!

It was   a successful trip in nothing else that no one lost a cellphone in the lake. (andrew :O)

Thanks to Terri for these great Pics shes  a talented photo opportunist!
